The U.S. is Fiji’s third largest source market, accounting for 10 percent of total visitors, and contributing an estimated FJD $183.5 million (USD $86.8 million) to the Fiji economy.
From 2012 until 2019, the average in tourism revenues has been 409.21 FJD Million, reaching an all time high of 648.90 FJD Million in the third quarter of 2019.
There has been 900,000 visitors to Fiji with an overall growth of 4.2% for 2018-2019, reported by the Fijian Bureau of Statistics (FBS).
The Fijian Government has developed the Fijian Tourism 2021 (FT 2021) plan with the vision of growing Fiji’s tourism industry from $1.9 billion in 2017, to an industry worth $2.2 billion with 930,000 visitor arrivals by the end of 2021.
